Motor cycling holidays in South Tyrol

The glaciers of the 3000 m peaks of the Alpine Main Ridge, the Dolomite passes, and blossoming apple plantations in the valley; these scenic contrasts, combined with the hospitality, the mild climate, and the Italian cuisine are what distinguish motorcycling holidays in South Tyrol. The diverse mountain roads with their fantastic panoramic views and numerous passes and sharp bends are just what motorcyclists love.

Motorcycling tours in South Tyrol

The mountain pass roads in South Tyrol are in a class of their own; there is scarcely another region that provides you with such an impressive backdrop. Motorcyclists in South Tyrol choose from a wide range of tours such as to the Reschensee lake, up the Ortler or the Stilfser Joch in the Vinschgau region, over the Timmelsjoch in Merano, between the Dolomite peaks in the Rosengarten-Latemar region, into the Pustertal valley, to the Kalterer Lake, or into the Tauferer Ahrntal Valley, to name but a few of the beautiful tours in South Tyrol.

The Sellarunde

Motorcyclists undertaking this tour in the Dolomites get to know the gigantic Sellastock. A little below the Sella pass, at the large cliffs, tiny but just discernible climbers ascend into the dizzy heights. From this point, long, drawn-out bends alternate with tight serpentines and hairpins. Then, the Grödner Joch, Campolongopass and the Passo di Falzarego await you. Continuing on to Passo Pordoi, you find yourself on one of the most beautiful pass roads of the Dolomites. On the way there are 33 bends and 27 serpentines into the Fassatal, peppered with fantastic views of Marmolada and Sella, bringing the tour to a close
