Your host Josef Tronsberg, also known as Sepp, shares his passion for motorbikes with his guests and gives personal tips on his favourite routes in the border triangle of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Allgäu. The name of the cosy hotel in a sunny southern location on the edge ot the town delivers what it promises: a wonderful view of the impressive Allgäu mountain panorama.

Coming back from varied tours, Sepp’s hut in the garden is the meeting point for expert discussions and personal tour recommendations – all, as its name suggests, with views of an impressive Allgäu mountain panorama.

The alpine upland offers endless possibilities for tours in all directions. Trips through the Allgäu landscape, along Lake Constance, via Switzerland to Liechtenstein and Austria, start right on the doorstep of the motorbike hotel. Your host

My first motorbike was a Yamaha XT 600, which I bought during my 3-year stay in Saarland. After that, I took a break from motorbikes. Unfortunately, looking after the German national ski team as a sports physiotherapist left me no more time for my motorbike hobby. In 2005, I took over my parents' hotel together with my wife Helga. At the same time, our three children took up all my attention. After our girls were out of nappies, the motorbike virus started to germinate in me again.

I ventured back into motorcycling with a BMW F 800 GS, which I still ride. But now that the routine is back and I can combine my hobby with my job as a MoHo gas (or petrol) supplier, something ‘bigger’ will probably not be long in coming. I simply love sharing the most beautiful tours through the Allgäu countryside with my guests and enjoying a good beer in the evening while talking petrol.

My personal favourite route is of course my home route: the Riedberg Pass. Here, bend after bend follow each other and the top asphalt makes motorbike slalom really smooth. So if you fancy a ride up and down our local mountain, why not pay us a visit here in Scheidegg?
