Motorbike holidays at Lake Reschen - Stelvio Pass - Venosta Valley
Welcome to the highest mountain pass in Italy! The Stelvio Pass in the Ortler Alps is not only a real highlight on a motorbike holiday in South Tyrol, but also the second highest asphalted mountain pass in the Alps. And one of the most beautiful. So there are plenty of superlatives on the Passo dello Stelvio, as the South Tyrolean pass highlight is known in Italian. Countless hairpin bends take you up to almost 2,800 metres. The Stelvio Pass (as it is also known) connects Bormio in the Lombardy region with Prad in South Tyrol.
From the lakeshore directly onto the pass road
On a motorbike holiday at Lake Reschen, you can head straight from the lakeshore to the most beautiful pass roads in Italy. Discover around 30 winding passes within a 1-hour radius, including a few real highlights such as the Stilfersjoch. And even though she is the queen, a motorbike holiday in Val Venosta/Vinschgau offers so much more. After all, the region around the Reschen Pass has always been one of the most important north-south routes across the Alps.

In our house, we share a passion and the chores. This is how we discovered our shared enthusiasm for motorcycling. Our motorbike guests therefore profit from double “advisory power“ today.
Some people say that I take anything with a saddle. This might be because we have a stable full of horses next to our BMW test drive centre. Although: both have to do with horsepower. My sons definitely prefer horsepower on two wheels.
When I was young, I spent some time in America where a Harley was compulsory. But at home in Sulden, only 10 minutes away from the Stelvio Pass, I am better off with a Ducati Scrambler. My hobby: I not only dedicate my spare time to motorbikes but also own a Lancia Fulvia Berlina from 1971.
Detractors may say that the bike virus has not just affected me slightly but rather completely taken its hold on me. They might even be right when you look at the moped, cruiser and adventure bike in the garage :-). But what should I do? You need the right equipment for every purpose.
