Motorbike holidays in Valsugana Motorcyclists welcome: Biker holidays in Valsugana - Kaiserjäger road - Val di Fiemme
In the footsteps of the Kaiserjäger Motorcycling in Valsugana - Kaiserjäger road - Val di Fiemme
The Kaiserjäger road is an iconic road with hairpin bends. It was built in 1911 by the pioneers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and is the most famous road in the region. It is also a must on any motorbike holiday in Valsugana - and on every biker's bucket list for Italy. Just 10 kilometres east of the regional capital, Trento, the lakes of Caldonazzo and Levico spread out along the bottom of the Valsugana valley. From here, the Kaiserjäger road leads up to the Lavarone plateau. The view of the two lakes is as spectacular as the 10km Alpine road itself.
But even apart from that, the Valsugana's catchment area for day trips on a motorbike holiday is hard to beat in terms of ingenuity. Whether you want to explore well-known destinations such as Lake Garda, the Manghen Pass, the Rolle Pass or the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites, or whether you prefer to set your sights on lesser-known areas such as the Piné Plateau, Monte Grappa and the Veneto. It is almost impossible to fit all these impressions into one helmet.
Discover the lake in the mountains
Good news for water lovers and lake enthusiasts: both Lake Levico and Lake Caldonazzo have been awarded the Blue Flag, which means that both lakes offer the best water quality. Finally, Valsugana is the first destination to be certified for sustainable tourism according to the criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. Lake Caldonazzo is the largest lake in Trentino; its little brother, Lake Levico, separated by the hill of Tenna, is quieter and resembles a Norwegian fjord. A real dream area for lovers of Italian curves!
