Motorbike holidays in Lechtal Valley - Hahntenn Pass Motorcyclists welcome: Biker holidays in the Lechtal - Hahntenn Pass
A touch of science fiction in the Lechtal
"Beam me up Scotty!" - this or something similar could be the motto for a motorbike holiday in the Lechtal - Hahntennjoch. Because just like in the retro-cult Star Trek films, we beam ourselves from the Lechtal to the most diverse directions and touring areas: In the south, we head quickly over the Flexenpass towards Arlberg or straight on to Switzerland and Italy. Via the Hochtannberg Pass, you can reach the Bregenzerwald in no time at all; in the north, you can reach the Allgäu via the Gaicht Pass. However, one of the highlights of a motorbike holiday in Tyrol is the Hahntennjoch - one of the most beautiful motorbike routes in the Austrian Alps. Built by hand by just 10 construction workers between 1948 and 1969, the dream road with its 30 winding kilometres & 15 hairpin bends is the perfect route to the east - and onwards to the sunny south.
Wild, unspoilt Tyrol
Nature was the master builder here: the Lech river, which gave the valley its name, is the last wild river in the northern Limestone Alps. It meanders through the Tyrolean valley in incredible shades of turquoise - sometimes stormy, sometimes gentle and accompanies us on our motorbike holiday in the Lech Valley. Daredevils can swap their bike saddle for a boat & V-belt for a climbing harness and explore the unspoilt nature of the region with no less speed when rafting, canyoning or waterfall climbing. The reward is traditional Tyrolean cuisine and a home-distilled schnapps from the host.
