The special feature in the Tyrolean Lechtal Valley are the countless possibilities to reach the passes.
How quickly the various regions can be reached from the Lechtal Valley reminds a bit of "beaming" in the Star Trek films. Driving to the south, you quickly cross the Flexen Pass in direction Arlberg or straight into Switzerland and then Italy. Crossing the Hochtannberg Pass, you reach the Bregenz Forest in no time. To the north, you drive across the Gaicht Pass into the Allgäu, while the Hahntenn Pass is the perfect route to the east.
