Around the Ötscher 316 km
It goes through the Waldviertel with its small winding roads to the Danube and crosses it in Ypps/Persenbeug. Then you have to cycle to Wieselburg on the main road and then turn off on unused roads to Plankenstein Castle. The route then continues via Wastl am Wald (1110 metres above sea level) to Maria Zell, one of Austria's most famous pilgrimage destinations. Via the Erlaufsee lake (don't forget your swimming gear), the route climbs up to the Zeller Rain (1121 metres above sea level) and to Lunz am See. The route leads through small, beautiful valleys and mountain ranges back to the Danube. We cross the Danube at Grein and then return to the highlight of the Mühlviertel with its winding roads.
