Großglockner Tour classic Tour 4
The ride to the Fuscher Törl
We start our tour with lots of bends and riding fun over the Dientner Sattel and the Dientner
country road to Lend. From there we ride to Bruck where we turn off in the direction of the Grossglockner. From the
tollbooth we really get going. Bend after bend and metre after metre in altitude, we enjoy the ride
until we reach the Fuscher Törl at 2,428 metres.
Edelweiss peak
From the Fuscher Törl, you reach the Edelweißspitze via the Edelweißstraße, which at 2,572 metres is the highest
point on the Großglockner road. A breathtaking view awaits.
From the Edelweissspitze, we head back down to the Fuschertörl. The road continues past the
Fuscher Lake and up to the Hochtor (2,504 m), where we cross the border between Salzburg and Carinthia through a small dark tunnel.
between Salzburg and Carinthia.
Kaiser Franz Josef Höhe
At the roundabout we turn off to the Kaiser Franz Josef Höhe. From here you have a unique view of the
view of the Großglockner, Austria's highest mountain (3,798 metres) and the Pasterzen Glacier, Austria's largest glacier.
Austria's largest glacier. At the other end of the Großglockner road we reach Heiligenblut.
Our tour takes us through the Mölltal and Drautal valleys to Spital.
Route 99
In Spital, we turn onto the B 99 and take a very winding route over the Katschberg, the
Radstädter Tauern and through the Fritztal valley to Bischofshofen. In Bischofshofen, the Hochkönig
Hochkönig road awaits us before we reach the Bike & Snow Gasthof Lederer again.
