King's Tour Tour 8
Ride up to the Postalm
The tour starts with a lot of riding fun as far as Bischofshofen. From there we ride along the Fritzbach
to Niederfritz and on through the Lammertal valley, via Abtenau to Voglau. In Voglau begins the
Postalmstraße, which takes us through Austria's largest alpine pasture area.
The Postalmstraße is a very beautiful and winding mountain road. An ideal place for a coffee break before
the tour takes us back down into the valley via numerous hairpin bends and through a beautiful gorge.
again.
We reach Strobl am Wolfgangsee. The ride leads along the Wolfgansee via St. Gilgen to Hof
near Salzburg. In Hof we turn off into the Wiestal valley onto a very popular motorbike route and ride to Hallein.
Hallein.
Rossfeld road
From Hallein we ride over the Dürnberg to the Rossfeld panoramic road. A very beautiful ring road
in the German-Austrian border region. A real driving pleasure with very good road conditions. Here
up here you can enjoy a marvellous view.
On the other side, the road descends steeply to Berchtesgaden and from there over the
Schwarzbachsattel, Schneitzelreuth and Lofer to Pillersee.
Pillersee
The road leads through the Pillerseetal valley along the Pillersee lake to Fieberbrunn and from there via
the Hochkönigstraße (B164) via the Grießenpass, Saalfelden, Filzen Sattel and Dientner Sattel back to the
Dientner Sattel back to the Bike & Snow Gasthof Lederer.
