The Hochkönig Road

Our tour begins on our home stretch of the Hochkönigstraße, with a ride up the Dientner Sattel.

We continue along the Hochkönig massif to Dienten and from there over the Filzensattel to

Maria Alm. We stay on the Hochkönig road and follow it over the Grießenpass to Tyrol until we reach Fieberbrunn.

The Pillersee

In Fieberbrunn we turn off onto the Pillerseestraße. This leads us through the Pillerseetal valley to the

Pillersee. A beautiful mountain lake, ideal for a coffee break.

The country road leads directly along the Pillersee and from there on to Waidring.

The Saalachtal valley

From Waidring the route continues to Lofer. We continue along the Loferer Steinberge mountains through the

Saalachtal until we meet the Hochkönigstraße again in Saalfelden. We follow this road eastwards

and cycle over the Filzensattel and the Dientner Sattel back to the Bike & Snow Gasthof Lederer.

Winter closures and toll roads:

No toll roads, all roads are open all year round.
