Pre-Alpine tour " the curvy one "

This time we leave our idyllic market square in the direction of the Danube. We take the B 36 to Ybbs and continue on the B 25 to Wieselburg, Purgstall and Scheibbs. From here, the traffic decreases noticeably and the landscape becomes more mountainous. After the pretty little town of Gaming, the first mountain awaits us, the Grubberg - it has three lanes and we are travelling a little faster than the maximum speed permitted by law, but BE CAREFUL, especially at weekends, uniformed friends often hide in the car park at the last bend. Once we have passed the Grubberg, we come to Lunz am See, where we treat ourselves to a café on the lakeside terrace. If it is too busy here, you can also cycle along the lake, at the end of which there is a small tavern, which I personally love to visit. After a short break, we return to the B 25 towards Göstling. Shortly after Göstling we could visit the Mendlingtal (Holzschwemme), but we prefer to drive a little further and take the € 3.70 Hochkar toll road, the 14 km are well worth the money after all, we have travelled over 1800 km and enjoy the wonderful panoramic view over the foothills of the Alps. Back from our alpine detour, we turn left at the toll station, a few hairpin bends follow and in Palfau we take the small loop on the right via Großreifling and Mooslandl and via Gams back to the junction on the right towards Wildalpen, the next 50 km lead us through a wild and romantic valley along the Salza to Gusswerk where we turn left onto the B 20 towards Mariazell. We postpone our visit to the church until later because we have really enjoyed the last few kilometres so much that we can hardly wait to take the Josefsberg and the Wastl under our wheels, but CAUTION shortly after Wienerbruck we have to turn left onto the 28 to Puchenstuben. Bend after bend uphill and downhill - what more could a biker's heart want? At the next junction after Puchenstuben we turn right into the Pilach valley, we enjoy the next 20 km in a quiet ride along the Pilach until we turn left shortly before Kirchberg (caution is easy to overlook) in the direction of Mank via the Luft, it's now quite fast out of the foothills of the Alps and into the hilly Mostviertel. The road over the Luft is well developed today, but in the 70s some high-calibre motorbike mountain races took place here. When we arrive in Mank, we head straight north on the L 215 to St. Leonhard and continue on the B 215. After a few long bends, we turn left towards Pöchlarn (ATTENTION: the junction is at the end of a long right-hand bend), turn right at the next junction up the small hill and then down to Pöchlarn. At the roundabout take the first exit to the Danube bridge, at the end turn left to the Riekmann company, if you are a fan of the American lifestyle, you should plan half an hour here, otherwise we turn right here to Artstetten Castle, after a winding road through the village we see the castle in all its splendour. Continue to Münichreith, turn right at the signpost towards Laimbach and then left back to Ysper. At the beautiful market square we order a beer, close our eyes and review the tour, r'zzzzz 300 km and 5 times as many bends make us tired.
