Salzkammergut Lakes Tour 10

The journey to Lake Hallstatt

We start our tour with lots of bends on the Hochkönig road to Bischofshofen. From there

through the Fritztal and Lammertal valleys to the Gschütt Pass and on to Gosau. From Gosau the road leads

the road leads through a very winding section of forest to Lake Hallstatt.

Lake Hallstatt and the Koppen Pass

We cycle along the beautiful scenery of Lake Hallstatt to Obertraun. In Obertraun

the ride climbs steeply up to the Koppen Pass and along a beautiful country road through a wooded area to Bad Aussee.

The Salzkammergut

In Bad Aussee we continue on the Salzkammergut road to Bad Goisern and Bad Ischl.

Ischl the tour takes us through a very beautiful valley to Weißenbach am Attersee. Now we cycle

around the Attersee and then on past the Mondsee to Thalgau. Via the Fuschlerstraße

we reach the Fuschelsee.

Wiestalstraße and Pass Lueg

We cycle past the Fuschelsee and continue along the Wolfgangseestraße to Hof, where we turn onto the Wiestalstraße.

Wiestalstraße. This is a very popular motorbike route through the Wiestal valley. We ride past the

Wießtal reservoir to Hallein. Now we ride through the Salzach Valley and the Lueg Pass to

Bischofshofen and from there via the Hochkönigstraße back to the Bike & Snow Gasthof Lederer.
