Alpine-Mediterranean tours & sociable evenings
The Linder family 's insider knowledge of the sun-kissed cornering paradise of Carinthia and the Austria-Italy-Slovenia border triangle is legendary. Their best tour tips are well-kept family secrets that they only share with their guests. Strategically located between the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, Malta High Alpine Road and Nockalm Road, the Mölltal - Grossglockner - Nockalm region plays all the tunes: from the highest motorable road in Austria via the Carnic Alps and Karawanken to the Friulian Dolomites and the Upper Adriatic.
The music plays here: The sociable dance evenings with live music from Manuela and Jens are also legendary - their hits and oldies ensure that the dancefloor is hot. Whether romantic torchlight hikes or cosy campfire evenings - there's never a dull moment on a motorbike holiday at the Erlebnishotel Kärnten-Mölltal.

Motorbike expertise
As a genuine Carinthian (for real!) and former driving instructor, I naturally know what is good and right for bikers in our country! Of course, mainstream is also part of it, but my personal favourites are off the beaten track and very few people know them. To keep it that way, I only reveal them to our guests on site at the adventure hotel. Really now!

A family of bikers and all-rounders
The Linder family is all about passion and having fun! This is the only way to get things done well. Just like the motorbike hotel.
Jens, head of the family, musician, entertainer, craftsman and, although the name suggests otherwise, a true Carinthian. Of course, he is also a biker through and through. Even when he was just two years old, he was already riding his moped on the local country lanes. At 18, things got really fast: he bought the now legendary Grand Prix replica Yamaha RD 500 LC, the only production motorbike with a four-cylinder two-stroke engine at the time. His friends respectfully called this road grader an "organ donor" at the time, but Jens fortunately survived the two-way relationship without any damage or crashes.
A few years later, the current MoHo gas(t)giver hired on as a driving instructor and maximised his annual mileage to 30,000 in no time at all. two thirds of this at a leisurely pace with his learner drivers and one third privately or at speed. The enforcement instruments, a 1000cc BMW Boxer and a 750cc Honda, came from the driving school at the time. Company vehicles with private use, so to speak.
in 2009, I had to put my own bike back in the garage. As a mature and sensible rider, a Varadero 1000 was his bike of choice. And it still is. Jens has taken it to his heart. With manageable electronics and proven technology, it has never let him down to this day. In addition, there are the many wonderful moments and memories that have so far successfully thwarted a frequently planned new purchase. Following the example of "Varahannes", the 200,000 on the alarm clock are still to be filled. Preferably "on tour" with his guests.
Junior host Sandro, primarily an award-winning bartender and cocktail master, developed his affinity for motorised two-wheelers in his youth as his dad's pillion rider. At the age of 15, he swapped his own savings for a moped of his own: a new Rieju Mrt 50 was needed. A good portion of pride was included in the package.
3 years later, finally with the pink cap in his hand, Sandro invested in cubic centimetres again. A second-hand Aprilia Peagso 650 was organised and renovated, restored and rebuilt with a great deal of affection. Tinkering has always been a passion of the young motorbike enthusiast, preferably on older vehicles. "They convey a certain charm that simply gives me an incredible amount of pleasure when I'm riding them," Sandro says, not without good reason.
When asked what his favourite route is, he answers hesitantly: "I'm wavering between the Grossglockner and the Nockalm. We sit right in between."
Junior host no. 2: Marco. In his profession, the youngest Linder scion is head chef in the family business. He is also a passionate biker. He has taken his dad and brother as role models. At least as far as the means of transport is concerned. As a young driving licence holder (since 2020), he can now finally go on tour with his relatives on his own wheels. Entry-level drug: Honda CB500F. And in summer, the car is always parked in the motorbike garage.
Manuela, the good soul of the Linder family, enthusiastic hostess and pearl of the house. Surprisingly, she doesn't ride a motorbike herself. Only occasionally on Jens' pillion, because someone at home has to look after the guests - and recently a flock of chickens. As a co-ordination artist, Manuela is mainly to be found at reception. Her passion is music, which you can experience and feel live at the regular dance evenings in the hotel.
