Time and again - and increasingly in recent years - motorcyclists have been stopping off at Hotel "DER PINZGER" in Stumm.
I am an enthusiastic motorcyclist myself, so it was a logical consequence for me to cater for this group of guests after I took over the management of the hotel. Of course, it all started with the moped: before my sixteenth birthday in gardens and fields, then on public roads with a good old Puch. After I got my "big" driving licence, my passion for two-wheelers took a break. Tourism school and university left me little time to ride my motorbike in addition to working in a hotel and doing internships abroad in the summer.
However, a passion cannot be suppressed forever, and so it returned in 1998 in the form of a KTM 640 LC4. The conversion to supermoto followed a year later. Two colleagues from our clique had to give up motorcycling due to accidents, which ultimately led me to the decision to sell the KTM. But even this time the farewell was not final. in 2004, I got back on the bike with a Yamaha XT 660 R, a second-hand bike so that I had something to ride. It soon became clear that the XT was not going to bring lasting fulfilment, so after just one year I swapped it for a Suzuki GSR 600, which gave me a taste for it: from then on, the motto was naked and heavy. As the GSR is naked but not necessarily heavy, I needed a replacement.
