Motorbike holidays in Val di Sole - Brenta Dolomites - Lake Garda Motorcyclists welcome: Biker holidays in Val di Sole - Brenta Dolomites - Lake Garda
Motorcycling in the Italian Alps Val di Sole - Brenta Dolomites - Lake Garda
Here, near Madonna di Campiglio, is the best base from which to explore both well-known and lesser-known riding areas on a motorcycle holiday in western Trentino - and far beyond! The glacier-carved Val di Sole in north-western Trentino, nestled between the Ortles, the Adamello-Presanella and the Brenta Dolomites, is the perfect base for exploring the smaller side valleys and beyond. And Trento is only a stone's throw away.
On a motorbike holiday in Val di Sole you can reach neighbouring Lombardy via the Tonale Pass as well as the Gavia Pass, Livigno, Bormio and the Stelvio Pass. Switzerland is also within easy reach from Val di Sole. Head east over the Mendel Pass to the South Tyrolean wine region and on to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites. There is no limit to what you can do in the mountains!
Next stop: Lake Garda & Lake Iseo
The Noce River winds its way through the valley for over 40 kilometres - named one of the top 10 rivers for rafting adventure by National Geographic. Just in case you want to swap your bike for a boat...
To the south, Italy's extensive touring portfolio is complemented by another highlight: the Brenta Dolomites, where you can quickly reach Lake Garda for a motorcycle holiday in the land of water.
And although it may sound a little cheesy, once you've been to Lake Garda, you'll always come back. Even if you don't toss a coin over your right shoulder. On the way back to the Val di Sole, we take in Lake Iseo and explore the Bergamo Alps, named after the city of Bergamo.
