We cycle along the foot of the Fennberg to Roverè della Luna and along the Trentino Wine Road to Mezzolombardo. This is where the Val di Non begins, which is known above all for its tasty apples from high altitudes. Approx. 28 kilometres after Malè, the ascent to the Tonale Pass begins.

At Ponte di Legno, we turn right and cycle up the Gavia Pass, the second highest pass in Italy. From here we have a good view of the glaciers of the Adamello group. After a descent of around 20 kilometres and a difference in altitude of almost 1400 metres, we reach Bormio, the main town in the upper Valtellina. Through the narrow and steep valley we reach Tirano. A few kilometres further on is the turn-off towards the Aprica Pass.

Descending through the narrow Cortena valley, we reach the village of Edolo. Passing Malonno and Breno, the route now climbs in tight bends, sometimes quite steeply, up to the Croce Domini Pass, which is very popular with motorcyclists due to the biker meetings organised from time to time and, of course, the magnificent view. Via the Goletto Gaver we reach the mountain village of Bagolino and finally Lake Idro, which is considered one of the cleanest bathing lakes in Italy.

We continue our relaxed ride to Tione di Trento. Finally, we begin the ascent to our last pass, the Carlo Magno Pass. It is named after Charlemagne and is important to tourists due to its proximity to the tourist resort of Madonna di Campiglio.

We quickly reach Malè again and head back through the Non Valley to Mezzolombardo. This time we take the state road back to Kurtinig.
