Around the Zugspitze
From Zams to Imst, the route runs parallel to the motorway before reaching the Hahntennjoch, a classic Tyrolean Alpine crossing, whose fascination is not diminished by the speed limit. Just a few minutes later, the entrance to the Berwanger Tal is reached at Stanzach. After the Berwanger Tal, the Plansee lake, the Ammersattel and the winding road to Garmisch are followed by some hard work on the handlebars. From here you have an enchanting view of Germany's highest mountain, the 2,962 metre high Zugspitze. Varied road twists and turns now lead via MIttenwald, Leutasch and Telfs to Holzleitensattl and finally to the Piller Höhe, where a souvenir photo from the Gacher Blick viewing platform is a must.
