With a relaxing approach to this tour, we start from Haus Flexen via the Flexenpass and
Lech into the romantic Lechtal valley, before the route from Stanzach to Berwang is refreshing and the Namlostal valley
The Namlostal valley has more to offer than the name would suggest.
Picture-book romance greets you at the Plansee, which is surrounded by impressive 2000 metre peaks and
bays with views of the lake. If you want to enjoy the lake view with coffee and cake,
is in good hands on the sun terrace of the "Hotel Forelle". You can reach Germany via
Ammersattel and there is one bend after another until you reach Oberammergau. However, it is worthwhile
numerous tourist destinations in the region, such as Linderhof Castle or Ettal Monastery.
Along the rest of the route there are many bodies of water such as the Staffelsee, Kochelsee and Walchensee lakes, as well as
the Sylvenstein reservoir that follows a little later. The latter is reached by the road through the Jachenau and
the wonderful forest path from Vorderriß to Wallgau.
You return to Austria via Mittenwald. The Mieminger Plateau invites you to cruise
and after the bends of the Holzleitensattel, the Hahntennjoch awaits, according to the motto "The best comes at the end"
The Hahntennjoch. 30 magnificent Alpine kilometres lead to the top of the pass at 1,894m, before you pass by
down past rugged rock faces and steep slopes over many bends. Lorries, buses and caravans
Fortunately, lorries, buses and caravans are not allowed on the Hahntennjoch. And so you leave the bike
through the Lechtal valley towards the Flexenpass and once again enjoy the serpentines down to Stuben
to Stuben, where this day of touring comes to an enjoyable end at Haus Flexen - Willi's.
