Sellaronda
Motorbike Sellaronda Variant 1: The figure eight through the Dolomites.
We start our two-wheeled bikes in Brixen and head towards Klausen. Below Klausen, or alternatively at Waidbruck, we turn left and enter the famous Val Gardena, where we pass Ortisei and Selva and reach the villages of Colfosco and Corvara after the Gardena Pass (2121m). Now we continue anti-clockwise southwards to the Campolongo Pass and reach Arabba. From here we cycle to Pieve di Livinallongo, from there soon northwards into the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park, up to the Falzarego Pass (2105m), on to the Valparola Pass (2192m), down again, past St. Kassian to Stern (La Villa) and on to Corvara in Badia. Here we drive our bikes up again to the Campolongo Pass (1875m) and on the other side down south to Arabba. This time, however, we turn right and look forward to the hairpin bends to Passo Pordoi (2239m). There you can take a break or tackle the next bends downhill, then keep to the right and give the bends another go up to the Sella Pass (2244m).
If you can finally tear yourself away from the view at the Sella Pass, continue downhill to Plan de Gralba, past Wolkenstein and Ortisei back out of Gröden towards Lajen (or alternatively Waidbruck) to Klausen and back to the starting point of the tour in Brixen. We have now left a figure eight on the map over several passes...
