The location in Graun, only 5 km away from the Reschen Pass, is perfect for a pleasant alpine motorbike holiday between mountains, lakes and years of tradition. You’ll find traces of the sunken village of Graun everywhere. Whether during his weekly regulars‘ table for bikers, with individual tour tips or during a joint tour – host Karl Heinz knows not only the adventure-packed mountain world of the Reschen Pass lake plateau like the back of his hand but also all of South Tyrol and the diverse border triangle.
The multi-award winning and Gault & Millau acclaimed food in the hotel is also shaped by South Tyrolean tradition: from the healthy gourmet breakfast to the 5-course evening menu with from regional farmers and pastures and selected wines. You’ll also enjoy some taste highlights after the tour highlights. But beforehand you can relax in the atmospheric 1,000 m2 VIVANA Spa. You can even enjoy free views of Lake Reschen from the sky whirlpool.

Conquer the numerous passes of the Italy, Austria and Switzerland border triangle. From Lake Reschen – with its famous sunken church tower – the path takes you directly to the Reschen Pass and up to an altitude of over 1,500 m. Then the mythical hairpin bends start! You’ll find among other things the Stilfserjoch and Timmelsjoch, Penser Joch and Ofen Pass, Umbrail Pass and Pillerhöhe and the legendary Silvretta High Alpine Road.

As a passionate motorcyclist, I have always enjoyed the adventurous passes and curves in our three-country corner of Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. Here, in the motorcycle mecca of South Tyrol, Tyrol, and the Swiss Alps, amidst breathtaking mountain passes, endless hairpin turns, and unique views, I find true relaxation. It didn’t take me long to decide that I wanted to share this sense of freedom with my guests. This combination of my favorite hobby and my work has led to a fantastic vacation offer for motorcyclists, and ultimately to my membership with the "MoHo - Motorcycle Hotels."
As the host, I am completely at our motorcycling guests' disposal. Whether it’s at our weekly biker meet every Saturday evening, where I share loads of motorcycle information, or during individual tour consultation sessions where I’m happy to reveal my personal insider tips, I'm here for them. On request, I’m also happy to accompany our guests on a tour; in addition to my first motorcycle, a Harley Davidson Roadking, and the BMW 1000rr for my track visits, I also keep a Ducati Multistrada in the garage, ready for these mountain excursions. Our hotel’s tour folder includes over 20 routes. My personal favorite tour, a challenging one, requires an early start. First, we tackle the northeastern ramp of the Stelvio Pass, then pass after pass unfolds. From Bormio, we continue over the Gavia Pass to Ponte di Legno, directly over the Tonale Pass, onward to Cles, and finally over the Gampen Pass back to Lana in the Vinschgau valley, all the way to Graun. I also love to recommend the side valleys of the Vinschgau to our guests who share my passion for a spirited ride. Schlinig, Matschertal, Langtauferertal, Martelltal, and Schnalztal are certainly among the top tips for motorcyclists in our region.
