On the road in the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites Motorbike holidays in South Tyrol - Dolomites

Glaciers of three thousand metre peaks on the main ridge of the Alps, Dolomite passes and blossoming apple orchards in the valley: on a motorbike holiday in South Tyrol and the Dolomites you will experience scenic contrasts combined with warm hospitality. The mild climate and incomparable Italian cuisine make a motorcycling holiday in Italy a very special experience.

The bizarre mountain scenery and spectacular rock formations of the world-famous Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are your backdrop - and your premier motorcycling area. Discover the Sella Group, the Stelvio Pass, the Sexten Dolomites, the Eisack Valley and the Eggen Valley. And experience the most kitschy sunsets, when the "Monti Pallidi" are bathed in reddish light.

Sellaronda - Grödnertal

The motorbike dream par excellence

Above all, the countless narrow mountain roads away from the busy standard routes offer a refreshing change on a motorbike holiday in South Tyrol and the Dolomites. Discover the well-hidden, almost secret connections from one Dolomite valley to the next. The hand-picked MoHo hosts will help you do just that: Their home advantage is your starting advantage.

In the south of South Tyrol, things are a little gentler around Lake Kaltern - one of the largest lakes in South Tyrol: here, your motorbike riding area stretches between Bolzano and Trieste and entices you with dream routes along the South Tyrolean Wine Road. The motorbike dream of the Dolomites remains within reach.

Our motorbike expert(s) of the region

Siegfried & Carmen Dilitz MoHo host since 2008

In our house, we share a passion and the chores. This is how we discovered our shared enthusiasm for motorcycling. Our motorbike guests therefore profit from double “advisory power“ today.

Some people say that I take anything with a saddle. This might be because we have a stable full of horses next to our BMW test drive centre. Although: both have to do with horsepower. My sons definitely prefer horsepower on two wheels.

Albrecht Pichler MoHo host since 2008

Despite having our own fleet of vehicles, our focus is not on the equipment, but on the lifestyle on two wheels.

Lukas Wallnöfer MoHo host since 2008

When I was young, I spent some time in America where a Harley was compulsory. But at home in Sulden, only 10 minutes away from the Stelvio Pass, I am better off with a Ducati Scrambler. My hobby: I not only dedicate my spare time to motorbikes but also own a Lancia Fulvia Berlina from 1971.

Tobias Überbacher MoHo host since 2018

Toni Überbacher, MoHo host since 2004, has handed over the reins of the Active-Motorbike-Hotel to his two sons Tobias and Simon - however, he still keeps the motorbike expertise firmly in his hands. After all, the senior boss knows the imposing Dolomite two-wheeler region like the back of his hand and can give the best tour tips. But Tobias is also on hand to give guests plenty of advice and help with tour planning.

Armin Pedevilla MoHo host since 2018

I was fascinated by motorbikes as a child and my father also had one. I could hardly wait until I had my licence and was able to ride one. Now I can hardly wait for the next opportunity to take guests on a tour along the numerous Dolomite passes on our doorstep.

Kevin Pörnbacher MoHo host since 2015

“Forza Italia” is my motto when it comes to motorbikes. I started with a yellow Vespa at the age of 14 and now have a Ducati Monster from which I “check that everything is in order” on the many Dolomite passes on our doorstep.

to the host

Walter Teutsch MoHo host since 2014

I inherited the passion for motorcycling from my father. I still have fond memories of my first excursions as a child, as a passenger on his Motoguzzi 500, at that time without a helmet and on roads that had barely been asphalted.

Karl Heinz Theiner MoHo host since 2013

Detractors may say that the bike virus has not just affected me slightly but rather completely taken its hold on me. They might even be right when you look at the moped, cruiser and adventure bike in the garage :-). But what should I do? You need the right equipment for every purpose.

to the host

Cristian Ludwig MoHo host since 2005

I am now a more leisurely biker, which suits me quite well. At least, this is what the others say… Our tour guide is always ready for anyone who prefers a racier pace on our guided tours.

to the host

Stephan Calliari MoHo host since 2017

I have been driving motorbikes for over 20 years now, and I have been running a biker-friendly hotel since 2009. As passionate motorbike and Vespa driver, my hobby is explaining the tours to my guests. I am really happy when the bikers return in the evening and tell me about their successful tour.

to the host

Petra und Andreas Falkensteiner MoHo host since 2016

Here at the entrance to the Dolomites, biking is almost mandatory for local people. But what lies even closer to my heart is the ART of being a host. It is my purpose in life and brings pleasure not only to my motorcycling guests.

to the host

Martina Pichler MoHo host since 2005

Even though a knee injury has forced me to ride the passes in the Dolomites and around Lake Garda on four wheels, I am still upholding the two-wheeler tradition in our house! It's not for nothing that my junior Andreas has discovered trial & motocross as his favourite means of transport. My two daughters Karo and Lissy, who run the hotel together with me, also regularly take to the saddle, but primarily on four legs rather than two wheels.
