The Schönauer Hof is not just a motorbike hotel, but a real biker lifestyle. Since 1999, Kai & Elke have gradually developed the hotel into one of the top addresses for motorcyclists in the Lechtal - Hahntennjoch region. The combination of passion, decades of experience and personal commitment makes all the difference: Kai knows the Alpine passes like the back of his hand and accompanies his guests on guided tours several times a week.
From Bach in the Lech Valley, you can set off in all directions: Austria, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein are all on the doorstep. Whether Stelvio, Silvretta, Timmelsjoch or Jaufenpass - the variety of passes guarantees variety. In the evenings, you can meet up at the regular bikers' table, exchange experiences and make plans for the next tours. As a true MoHo veteran with over 20 years of membership, the Schönauer Hof offers a "Perfect Biker Hotel" package: underground car park and cosy hotel bar included.

My passion for motorbikes began as a child in the Lech Valley, when I used to chase mopeds across meadows and gravel tracks. Over the years, I gained experience on countless bikes - from Puch and Zündapp to my current BMW GS Adventure and Triumph Speed Triple 1050. In 1999, I took over the Schönauer Hof from my parents and quickly turned it from a hiking hotel into a biker hotel. Here our guests find 100 % bike passion - here you are among like-minded people.
What began as a bold step quickly developed into a well-known meeting place for motorcyclists. Legendary biker meetings, club work and my commitment as a tour guide characterised the first few years. Today, I accompany my guests for up to six days a week on tours through five countries - from Lake Reschen to the Engadin. For me, it's no longer just about speed, but about technique, safety and the shared experience on two wheels. My passion for motorbikes has remained - and I share it enthusiastically at the Schönauer Hof.
